During their heyday in the 1950s, these companies offered comfortable middle-class lifestyles to their combined workforce of more than 10,000 employees, anchoring a local economic boom that buoyed countless nearby small businesses. Designed as a commuter neighborhood, the Greater Eastside is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in St. Paul along with being one of the most populous.’
